Hello driver, you begin part one of this scenario being held at a red signal at Hilmorton Junction waiting for a path through Rugby. It’s been a day of major disruption on the WCML due to several issues, so you’re already heavily delayed as are most of the trains around you. In part one you’ll work as far as Stafford and in part two you’ll cover the final run to Crewe including a shunt onto the LNWR shed to finish your shift. Please check your briefing for further instructions, obey all signals on route and your maximum permitted speed whilst on test this evening will be 100 mph, enjoy the run. A detailed manual with links to all the requirements is included with the download.
The following also require all their listed dependencies to function as intended:

28/08/21 17:10 – v1.1 – Updated – Altered the start to Part 1 after a small number of people experienced issues with AI not working as planned. Please do get in touch if you still experience any issues.
Take care, stay safe. John (87002RS)
Cracking scenario thanks. AI was spot on, especially in the Crewe area.
Evening Craig, many, many thanks for your comment and nice feedback. It’s good to hear you enjoyed it and found the AI to be good. Even happier to hear you didn’t encounter any issues either! Thanks very much Craig, really appreciate it.
Hi John, in part 1 my drive was perfect until I was stopped by a red approaching Stafford. I waited a while and nothing seemed to be moving, so I saved and reloaded and finished a most enjoyable part 1. Thank you. In part 2 when I loaded I got the route blocked message, but I just deleted the offending consist, and all worked perfectly. A most enjoyable 2 part scenario. Thank you again.
Many thanks for your comment and feedback, it’s appreciated as always. I’m really sorry some of you are experiencing some slight issues with these two. As I’ve replied to the others, I did run it for a test several times pre release and everything worked as intended. I have issued an updated version (last night) with a few things amended ever so slightly in part 1 and the AI some people had an issue with in part 2 (9S97) was altered too, to hopefully fix people’s issues.
I’m really glad you enjoyed both parts despite a couple of small problems you encountered. I apologise again for that, sometimes TS can just be awkward and I’d put this down to one of those times. Hopefully my next few will be problem free. Thanks again Benelena.
Hi John, I’m facing a problem with the AI in part 1 too; at Rugby and Nuneaton, despite the message from the signaller to stay still and give road to other trains, I have a clear aspect at both signals…
Good morning Bogani, thanks for your comment raising this issue. I’m very sorry you’re experiencing the same problem as Thomas is. It’s really frustrating when all seems to work fine on your own system but other people then have issues. I do thoroughly test all my scenarios before sending them for approval, but sometimes TS can just be a complex beast. I do apologize this has happened.
Unfortunately I’m away from the computer at the moment as I’m working the early shift so I’m unable to help you straightaway. I will be altering a few things in the scenario(s) when I get home and as soon as I have the time I will send out an update to this download on the website to hopefully resolve any issues you and other people are experiencing. In the meantime, can you possibly send me a Facebook message if you’re able to (you can find me on the ATS Group) so I can stay in touch with you that way, let you know of any progress and when the update is done? Many thanks and sorry again.
I get an error message on part 2 of this scenario:
Driver ‘5K55 1D33 Wembley EFOC – Crewe LNWR (Delayed) at (coordinates) – Route is blocked – 9S97 1743 London Euston – Glasgow Central
Also, in part 1, a lot of the AI heading south is static.
Tom, I’m really sorry to hear you’re having a couple of issues with this. I can assure you, I wouldn’t release a scenario on the site unless I was completely happy that all was well with it and it worked as intended. I did test this as I always do, 5 or 6 times before release and I didn’t encounter any issues at all. Can I please ask if the AI that was stationary in part 1 was mainly the WCML South Class 390s? If it was, I can think of a possible solution which may also solve part 2.
The way I’ve designed it, none of the AI should be stationary in part 1, it should all be moving when you see it. You may have to bear with me as I’m working early turn in the morning and my alarm is set for 4am, but I’ll take a quick look tonight and see if I can see anything obvious and if there is, I’ll issue a fix as soon as possible. If you can let me know about the AI when you get a chance that will be great. I’m really sorry Tom, and will try and get you sorted out as soon as possible.
