Paddington to Paignton Version 3
17th July 2026New to V3 is the link from Exeter via Yeovil Pen Mill to Castle Cary so adds the SWR lineto Waterloo (Exeter to Yeovil Junction)
Included also is the Yeovil Railway Centre that can be used/driven
This link is also know as the GWR avoiding line for diversions between Castle Cary and Exeter.Castle Cary to Yeovil Pen Mill is used by GWR on services to Weymouth Gloucester Westbury and Bristol.Plus by SWR on services to Yeovil Pen Mill and Yeovil Junction from Waterloo via Westbury and diverted services to Exeter
I have a missing asset Reading.bin, which I assume is the missing Reading station. I do have SWEX installed, and it’s not part of that package. Does anyone know where Reading.bin comes from?

I have this installed (v3) as well as the BH-BP route, and in both cases there’s no Reading station. TS-tools says I’m missing an asset called Reading.bin (which seems logical) and I assume this is a single asset for the whole of Reading station.
I have South Western Expressways, but opening up this route in the editor shows that Reading station is made up of lots of little bits (jt_reading_station1 etc.). I’m pretty sure I have all the requirements listed but does anyone know where Reading.bin comes from? I’d expected it to be part of SWEX, but no.

Hi, sorry your having problems. The asset you need in the stations selection box in the editor is GWR Reading_Station
This originally came with Western Mainlines NOT SWE or SWER it is one asset with all platforms and buildings.
I thought it was in the JT Common Library but its not, looks like you need Western Mainlines if you don’t already own it, but strange no one has ever flagged this before????
I have just read the requirements list and it does say Western Mainlines ? ( its getting late I am not thinking )
so you should have it loaded and if you have I would try removing and do a reinstall of that route.
Let us know please what you find.

Sorry no, we are two separate route builders and its a lot of work. I am heading off now to Templecombe for V3a

John, yes it would but that a lot of miles, trees and houses !
However, news as of 31st July, I am now only 9.34 miles away from Templecombe with scenery, track is all laid.
Absolutely brilliant,had everything required. One question I have – will scenarios for V2 work with V3??
Yes nothing changed on the original parts. you must already have V2 as it has been removed now and only V1 remains

Really nice route however cant open the doors at Exeter St Davis despite having all the requirements. Does it need Berks and Hants to actually be installed or just the requirements of the route?
Hi there, no just requirements. Exeter has not been changed in this version and its all part of Riviera line.
Try re install RL, then V3 If still the same, could you tell me what platform number and also try same one on the RL DLC.
So it’s P1 at Exeter st David’s.
On your route if I stop at towards the rear end of the platform coming from New Yard the doors of rear 2 coaches will open but if I stop towards the 6 car marker no doors or the door timer will work. If I stop towards the front of P1 same thing happens. P5 at Exeter is fine and works as normal.
Couldn’t test on the RL directly as it won’t spawn me in at P1.
Not working at Pinhoe either but works at Exeter Central 🙁 Honestly can’t work it out. Have the same issue with Berks and Hants route which is strange despite all requrierments,
Sorry I can’t really help you. As I type this I have driven the AP 158/9 with SWR reskim from ESD to Pinhoe and all doors work. I can only think delete all main requirements and V3 reload everything back. Martin
