[MJT] 6M72 03:00 Grain Oil Terminal Gbrf – Carlisle N.Y.
22nd September 2024In this scenario you form the next leg of the aviation fuel train 6-Mike-72 from Grain Oil Terminal bound for Carlisle, hauling a set of 10 loaded TEA tank wagons with a payload of around 740 tonnes. Having come all the way from Kent earlier this morning, you take over from your colleague at Crewe and continue down the WCML as far as Preston. This service will eventually arrive at Carlisle before being taken to Prestwick Oil Terminal later on this evening.
Today’s traction is in the form of the beautifully liveried 66796 ‘The Green Progressor’…ironic considering we’re hauling fuel for aeroplanes, one of the least environmentally friendly forms of travel. This is a low priority freight working so you are expected to make several pathing stops along the way to allow other regional and intercity services to overtake at converging junctions and double-track sections.
Setting: 5th September 2024
Total Duration: 115 minutes
Track Covered: Crewe – Preston via WCML
Traction: 66796 ‘The Green Progressor’
Important Things to Know:
-
You will likely be waiting a short while at a few signals along the way for about 30 minutes max. If you would rather now wait, then by all means ASYNC keys to reduce the waiting time.
-
Due to the absence of Northern’s Class 195/331 Civity units in TSC, I have replaced these with the Class 170 and Class 331 where applicable, and they have been relabelled appropriately.
-
When coming to a stop at the red at Signal WN77 (just south of Springs Branch Jn at Wigan), the taskbar states that the user is still ~0.9 miles away from this destination. In reality, stopping at ‘Signal WN77’, as displayed on the HUD mini-map, will carry out this instruction as intended. The statement that one is still ~0.9 miles away seems to be a minor bug and should be ignored.
How to Install:

I’ve had the luck to have no issue at all and had a fantastic run, thanks!
Sadly exactly same problem, the scenario hangs while loading about 5 seconds in, not sure what’s going on
I got not dumps, but I didn’t have all the stock. Lovely drive C:
Was really looking forward to this run!. Sadly it loaded up once I got outside of Crewe it dumped with the dreaded Out of Memory error. I cleared the cache, restarted TSC loaded it up again, but this time it hangs while loading up in which it crashed out to the desktop. I have everything installed as mentioned and verified with TS Tools to be double sure.
I’m glad it’s not just me that gets the hangs while loading issue ; it has become very commonplace since update of TSC earlier this year.
It is too common now but I don’t know why.
