This morning you lead the remainder of Pathfinder Railtours’ “Edinburgh Festive Explorer” charter down to the Scottish capital, having taken over at Preston – with the wonderful Les Ross (86259) as our traction. Despite the weekend’s festive weather up north, things haven’t been looking so great on the railway. The wintery weather has meant that all direct trains to and from Scotland have been suspended today, with limited service between both ends and Carlisle. Additionally, our charter is being forced to terminate at Edinburgh for similar reasons, and will no longer continue to Berwick. Keep an eye and an ear out for temporary speed restrictions that are in place north of the border!
