Saturday 8th February saw the SRPS’s first railtour of 2025, featuring ‘The Capital Highlander’ from Carlisle to Inverness. Drive the first leg of this charter as far as Motherwell where another driver will then take the train forward. It should be a rather straightforward run this morning, but the heavy Beattock gradients may become a bit of a test for these double-headed tractors.

Notes –

+ I’ve had to take a couple of creative liberties when creating this scenario. Firstly, I cannot find a reskin of the Mk2 ‘Car No. 5912’ coach, so I used the Statesman Rail reskin from BackdatedTS instead as a close resemblance. Similarly, I also used TPE Class 802s for 397s, where applicable.
