OVERVIEW: For the first since September 2020, the InterCity 225 finally makes its return to revenue service north of York. With Azuma availability stretched by recent service expansions, their sparse and aging Electra fleet has been diagrammed to operate a single daily service per day in each direction between London and Newcastle from April 2026. This afternoon, you take the reins of 91114 ‘Durham Cathedral’ on the 225’s inaugural return run to the North East, working 1N09 14:33 London Kings Cross – Newcastle.

~ Part 1 of this scenario is very resource intensive. To mitigate dumps, you must run the included “1N09 Pt.1 PRE-LOAD” standard scenario first, following the instructions provided on-screen. If issues persist, consider lowering your graphics settings. Avoid excessive use of external cameras in Part 1 as this may also cause dumps.
