OVERVIEW: Tonight you lead the southbound Lowland Sleeper service 1M11 from Glasgow Central to London Euston.  You are normally rostered to work this service as far as Preston, but with the other driver calling in sick today you’ll be seeing this one through all the way through. At Carstairs, you will attach the ex-1C11 portion from Edinburgh, before heading south into the night and arriving into London for 7am – calling at Carlisle and Watford Junction along the way.

This scenario has also been designed and tested with the AP Sky & Weather Enhancement Pack 2.0, AP Cloud Enhancement Pack and ChiefJack’s AP Sky Accurate Time of Day patch in-mind. Whilst not essential, having all these installed will provide the most accurate weather and lighting conditions as of the date/time the scenario is set. For AP Weather to function on the WCML Trent Valley route, make sure you have this patch installed.

 

NOTES:

~ Parts 3 and 4 feature a rolling start. Make sure you’re ready!

~ In order for passenger boarding at Carlisle to function correctly, you may need to bring the train to a stop at the physical extreme end of the platform (beyond the marker and associated signal), otherwise passenger boarding will not trigger when you press the T key.

~ Furthermore – before downloading, please make sure your AP Class 92 EP is fully up-to-date, as issues with the loco have been reported to occur when spawning into to Parts 2, 3 and 4 – which are set up as rolling starts – likely due to some file corruption complications with the outdated version of the EP.
