OVERVIEW: Easter engineering works have closed large sections of the West Coast Main Line over the Bank Holiday weekend, and a heavily amended timetable is in place across the route. Ongoing remodelling efforts at Carstairs, points upgrades at Norton Bridge and track renewals near Watford have suspended all trains into Euston, and nearly all north of the border. Having followed the diversionary Glasgow & South Western to reach England, you take over 1M07 at Preston for the next leg of this service to Milton Keynes as far as Stafford via The Potteries. There are no issues to report on this morning, but we may experience hold up since you are running off the normal path. Setting = April 2023.
