4N61 12:00 Drax Aes (Gbrf) – Tyne Coal Terminal Gbrf

 

Briefing

To commemorate 50 years since the opening of Drax Power Station, GBRF painted one of their 66s into gold alongside one of the IIA biomass wagons. To celebrate the milestone the return 4N61 working to Tyne Dock ran via an unusual route as part of a marketing exercise. The working ran via the S&C and the Tyne Valley; with a reversal in Carlisle N.Y. You join the train running 70 minutes behind schedule and will work through to Skipton. We should have had a booked stop in Kirkstall Down Loop, however our late running means hopefully missing out that stop and running direct to Skipton. 66301 is your loco this afternoon. Year = 2024
