Pleasant little thrash, that… nice attention to detail in that the set is First Class at the Country end – this usually being the case when sets were loaned from the WR, as their routing across to Euston when they changed the sets over meant they arrived this way around. This persisted until the WCML got it’s own small fleet allocated to Longsight – which were basically all the “oddballs” from the WR fleet (think things like the ex-Prototype trailers) which the WR fleet engineers were glad to see the back of – at this point the sets generally ran First Class at the London end like the rest of the ICWC operation.
Also, the Holyheads in this era tended to work off the lower numbered platforms – in particular 4-7. The HST capable platforms had special “HST STOP” boards to ensure they stopped in a spot where exhaust could escape easily – in particular the Country End power car would be stopped out in the open and not underneath the Parcels “raft”. The stop boards are still there today. They would depart Northbound via the Down Departure dive-under line (what is “Line X” today).
Really enjoyed that, thanks, Jason. One thing I did notice was right at the end, the RES set seemed to be going backwards through Rugby. The tail light was on the leading end as it came through the station.
So glad you enjoyed it, sorry the RES train is still backwards, thought fixed that in version 2.1. Shall have to take another look, thank you as always Stephen 🙂
Great scenario, Thank you.
Thank you very much for that comment 🙂
Really enjoyable Scenario.
Thank you so much 🙂
Really enjoyed the scenario and love the variation of AI. Managed the run just a couple of minutes late 😉
That’s brilliant, thank you 🙂
