Edinburgh to Carstairs Line V1.0 (DPS Route Upgrade) by Agdron Development

This route upgrades the DPS Scenery Extension of Thomson Interactives original Edinburgh to Glasgow route, which covers the track between Edinburgh and Carstairs. The route in it’s original state used only assets from TI’s Edinburgh to Glasgow, and while the route building skills of DPS were proficient for the tools he was dealt, an update to the scenery of this line was well overdue. That is what this is, an Upgrade. 

So, what has been changed:

Version 1.0

• All track has been swapped out to use JT’s GU track (chosen due to the variety)
• The vast majority of foliage and trees have been swapped out for newer assets along the specified section (THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE ANYTHING WEST OF MURRAYFIELD)
• Scenery work at the trackside has been redone in many locations
• Scenery from DTG’s Fife circle replaces the outdated Edinburgh and Haymarket in the original route
• Minor station reworks 
• Texture set has been swapped to that used in the Fife Circle
• Implementation of Armstrong Powerhouse’s AI Horn Functionality Baked into the route

Note: Some assets from Thomson Interactive still remain within the route as I am in the process of sorting through and replacing them all. Additionally Superelevation has not yet been added to the track and the OHLE has not been swapped, but this is all in scope for future updates.

It is heavily recommended that you have the AP Weather EP and the AP Vegetation EP installed for the route to have the best possible look. This route was built with both and may not display as intended if not installed.

I intend to update this route in the future, for at the moment it is the main project through which I am learning aspects of route building, so if places are a bit iffy there is potential they may be fixed. Please bear this in mind while driving the route. 

To Install, simply copy the Contents Folder to the Railworks Directory. If you wish to copy AP Weather onto the route, please go into the AP Weather Patch folder provided and paste the assets folder into your Railworks Directory.
