Desiro City Pack – Class 700/707/717
11th May 2019In collaboration with the infamous Superalbs, ATS brings the Class 700 to you.
This pack depicts a representation of the Class 700, 707 and 717 for their respective operators (Govia Thameslink Railway [Thameslink], South West Trains/South Western Railway & Govia Thameslink Railway [Great Northern]).
Work has been undertaken to include more than just the original 700. A tail light variant of the DMOC/DMSO is provided so AI does not pass you with headlights on the rear. Furthermore, an impromptu Class 707 and 717 are provided for scenarios.
Faults:
We are aware that this is not entirely accurate, but it is a decent representation.
Due to the mapping, the 717 does not have much detailing on the front, and the 707 has some additional yellow sections. We know there’s no external cab nor pantograph.
Coupled units merge into each other slightly, though this should only be noticeable with Class 707s in multiple.
This will drive by using the BML 450 cab, but we cannot offer assistance for those who can’t get it to work for anything other than AI.
In the editor:
We are aware this has a tendency to not display properly in the editor. It should however take into effect when you press the play button, or clear the cache and try again.
You must enable RSC\BrightonMainline and the respective Class in Superalbs (gn717, swt707 & swt707DMSO, or tl700)

Hello, I love this pack! It’s great! Superb! I have heard that people have put different cabs into the class 700, 707 and 717. How can that be done?

Hey, lovely stop gap. the class 700 and 707 are great. havent used the 717 yet but is there anyway to swap the cab veiw to that of the 67?
if you dont mind helping i cand use the W,A,S,D keys i done everything tried reinstalling it but didnt work help me
I too can’t use the WASD keys… Anyone know if this is something that happens or does he WASD keys work for you all? Any help please? 🙂
This train appears to only use simple controls. If you want to use keybinds, switch your control type to simple. Hope this helps 😉
Keybinds will only work if you have the AP Class 444/450 Sound Pack, which is no longer available
I was going to download this but I was wondering if the sounds apply from the 444/450 EP?
You don’t need the sounds. They’re only optional. 👍😀🚂
I Cant download the train. I Put everything in the right place and it DOES Show up in the editor but appears invisibile .
It’s great. Even though it has a class 450 cab, I’ve got it for the looks. It’s fantastic! I got it yesterday! First thing ever downloaded from ATS! Love it it’s so cool!

Sorry if I’ve missed it but are you gonna continue development e.g. giving it a pantograph? I know it’s ‘not a fully fledged product’, but it would be quite nice in the future. =)
Unfortunately the author lost the source files. We feel the amount of work needed to be able to continue development of this model just isn’t viable. It does an ‘ok’ job at the moment, even if it does run on magic beans rather than OHLE.
Oh NO!! lost the Source… I was going to say, “if you want, I might be able to help finish it” but that puts paid to that sadly. 🙁

Can’t wait to get my laptop fixed so I can do a Rainham to Bedford service finally. Will it work with a 378 passenger veiw and the 801 cab? Just wondering as the 378 is open walkways and the 801 has a similarish cab

Just tried to build a Great Northern Class 717 and carriages don’t show on the editor plus their is a coupling issue on the thameslink train I guess this pack is a work in progress thing

I agree with the no pantograph and doors don’t open but i think one of these trains is thameslink and there is no thameslink logo on the side
