Crouch Valley 3 Quick Drive with AI services
12th September 2025NEW UPDATE V2.2
CHANGELOG:
V1.0 First release
V1.1 Fixes
V2.0 Is finally here now with AI services!
V2.1 A fix to services from London to Southminster taking the wrong path through North Fambridge resulting in a collision
V2.2 Implemented the Liberty Line
Whats new?
You can now drive between Romford and Upminster! I have added AI at both ends you will see some D78 stock at Upminster, this of course means new extra requirements but I have made sure they are free to download. I have been unable to source a decent class 357 to operate on the C2C platforms at Upminster so I unfortunately could not add any. I am also currently working on driveable TfL services between Shenfield and Liverpool Street and hoping to release version 3 with this implemented as soon as possible.
HOW TO INSTALL:
Use Utilities.exe found inside your RailWorks folder, click on package manager, press install, and then select the “Ginges Quick Drive CV3” file to install.
NOTE – If updating from V2.0 to anything above (V2.2+) it’s the same installation process as before but you will get a prompt telling you it already exists. You should press OK to proceed anyway and it will overwrite the previous version.
REQUIREMENTS:
– (FREE) Crouch Valley 3 – UKTS FILE 32204 (Because UKTS has shutdown I contacted the creator for permission to upload it here on ATS)
– (FREE) Crouch Valley 3.1 patch speed limit fixes (you MUST install this)
– AP Class 314/315 Electric Multiple Unit Pack (also install branding patch on the same page)
– AP Class 321 Electric Multiple Unit Pack (you must also install the livery pack)
– (FREE) Class 321 – Greater Anglia Renatus Livery *
– (FREE) AP Wherry lines extra stock pack Direct Download HERE (You must install this for the GA branding on the class 90, if you do not install this the class 90 WILL NOT spawn)**
– (FREE) D78 Farewell Livery
*I personally had issues with getting the Renatus to work but if you copy the ‘External’ folder from “RailWorks\Assets\AP\Class321Pack01\RailVehicles\Class321\GA\Destinations” into “RailWorks\Assets\AP\Class321Pack01\RailVehicles\Class321\GA_Renatus\Destinations” it should work.
** I also had issues with installing the GA livery for the class 90. I rectified this by using TS tools to extract the class 90 .AP file and then installing the livery. You can check if everything is working as it should by using the ‘Check or edit existing QD consists or fragments’ feature on TS tools selecting the provided folder in my QD “QuickDrive\CV3\PreLoad” then press ‘find QD consists in selected folder’ and make sure no errors show.
Optional but recommended:
START POINTS: Southend Victoria, Prittlewell, Southend Airport, Rochford, Hockley, Rayleigh, Wickford, Billericay, Shenfield, Romford, Romford LO, Upminster LO, Stratford, London Liverpool Street, Southminster, Burnham-on-Crouch, Althorne, North Fambridge, South Woodham Ferrers, Battlesbridge.
END POINTS: Southend Victoria, Prittlewell, Southend Airport, Rochford, Hockley, Rayleigh, Wickford, Billericay, Shenfield, Romford, Romford LO, Upminster LO, Stratford, London Liverpool Street, Southminster, Burnham-on-Crouch, Althorne, North Fambridge, South Woodham Ferrers, Battlesbridge.
KNOWN ISSUES:
– Departing London Liverpool Street there is a signalling error but if you press Tab to contact the signaller you will be given permission to proceed you only need to do this once.
– Approaching Shenfield platform 4 (DN towards SOV & SMN) you will need to request permission from the signaller to proceed into the platform. If you get denied wait for the TfL service in front of you to pass the signal at platform 5 and try again.
INFO: I had some issues with another quick drive available that doesn’t seem to be getting an update anytime soon, so I decided to create my own version. You can start from any station UP & DN excluding TFL stations. All start points are at 8 car stop signs except for the Crouch Valley branch, which is at 4 car stop signs when selecting to start or end at Wickford.
PLANS FOR NEWER VERSIONS:
– Add more variety in the platforms you will end at terminuses
Please let me know if you experience any issues with my Quick Drive and I’ll try to fix them. Suggestions and requests are welcome.
This is my first time attempting something like this, so I hope I haven’t done too bad of a job!
Created by Ginge for Train Simulator Classic.

IMPORTANT: I have discovered an issue when driving from London to Southminster, The signaller is ignoring the correct instructions and routing through North Fambridge platform 1 rather than the correct platform 2 which results in you colliding into an oncoming service. I’m working to fix this issue ASAP and an update to fix this should follow shortly.
This issue has now been resolved. Please update to version 2.1.
This is a sneak peek into the progress I am making with ‘Ginge’s QuickDrive V2.0’. You will see many other trains along the drive some unfortunately did not spawn in this example due to probabilities that I have implemented, such as a Class 90 passing the player as they arrive into Shenfield and a London Overground Class 315 departing Romford as the player approaches plus more. This is not a finished or polished example but showcases the progress I am making. I plan to release V2.0 in late October 2025. https://youtu.be/t_XSM1rXHQ0
