[CH] 6K73 08:49 Sellafield B.N.F. – Crewe Coal Sidings (DRS) (2017)
10th September 2025This is a scenario for the On Track Simulation’s Cumbrian Coast & The Furness Railway route.
On 22nd April 2017 a pair of Class 66s worked the Saturday Sellafield to Crewe nuclear flasks, a turn more commonly handled by pairs of Class 37s or 68s. In this scenario you’ll take over from the previous driver at Barrow, as per the Saturday timetable, and work the train south along the scenic Cumbrian Coast and down the West Coast Main Line to Preston, where another driver will continue the leg to Crewe. You will also have a pathing stop at Oubeck goods loops to allow faster traffic to pass. Your leading traction is 66430, with 66421 dead in tow, making for a rare formation on this working.
