[CH] 5G37 10:20 Healey Mills T.M.D. – Holbeck Loco Sidings
15th March 2026This is a scenario for the Huddersfield Line – Upgrade, available on Steam workshop.
From October 2003 to September 2004, the loco-hauled Arriva service operating between Leeds and Carlisle became a distinctive feature of West Yorkshire rail operations, with locomotives supplied by EWS and the coaching stock regularly stabled at Healey Mills for weekend servicing.
On Saturday mornings the set would normally work back across the network to Neville Hill in preparation for the following week’s Leeds – Carlisle & Knaresborough duties, often taking the familiar route via Wakefield Kirkgate. Today, however, things are slightly different: a major signalling outage around the Kirkgate area has forced a diversion via Huddersfield.
You begin at Thornton Junction where you will take ex-works 37411 forward into Huddersfield, before performing a reversal and taking control of 37408 for the onward move. Due to the disruption, the timetable has been amended and the stock will be left in Holbeck until later this evening when a suitable path through the station becomes available. Date: 18th October 2003.
Essential Requirements:
- AP Class 37 Vol. 1
- AP Class 43 HST Valenta
- AP Class 142
- AP Class 150/2
- AP Class 158 Cummins EP
- AP Mk2e Coaches
