Starting from cold in Goodrington carriage sidings, you’ll need to bring the unit to life before making your way into Paignton, where you’ll form your service and wait until your booked departure time. Once underway, you’ll take this northbound working along the scenic South Devon coastline and beyond, running under timings set for a diesel-hauled train, meaning you may find yourself with time in hand if driven efficiently.

Keep an eye out for any remaining loco-hauled Virgin CrossCountry services along the route as the old guard slowly gives way to the new.
