This is a scenario for the ATS Leeds Lines Merge (York and Leeds to Kings Cross)

For players experiencing the dreaded “Out of Memory” error, a “Lite” version of this scenario has been included. The AP 317 is no longer a requirement for this lite version as I have identified that as the main cause of OOMs for myself.

2012 was a standout year for Britain, marked by the London Olympics, the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, and a renewed sense of national pride. As the year drew to a close, the East Coast Main Line continued to play a vital role in keeping the country moving. This scenario puts you in the cab of an HST set on a cold winter morning, December 19th, 2012, at Neville Hill Depot, where you are tasked with preparing HST power cars 43309 (freshly repainted in East Coast livery) and 43320 (still in ex-National Express colours) to cover for a failed IC225 on 1A06 (Leeds – London King’s Cross).

Your first job is to follow the cold start procedure, ensuring both power cars are up and running before departing the depot by 06:25. Once at Leeds, you will form the 06:40 departure south, calling at Wakefield Westgate (06:52), Doncaster (07:10), Newark (07:36), and arriving into London King’s Cross at 08:49. This scenario follows the actual 2012 winter Working Timetable (WTT) for an accurate and realistic experience.

This scenario has been designed around the AP Sky & Weather Enhancement Pack 2.0 and the OTS AP Sky Accurate Time of Day software. While not essential, these add-ons provide the most immersive and visually stunning winter sunrise experience, making for a rewarding drive as you race towards the capital under the early morning glow.
