Buchan Lines AP Vegetation and Sky and Weather EP Patch

This patch simply patches the AP Vegetation EP and AP Sky and Weather EP onto the Buchan Lines: Aberdeen to Peterhead route in Train Simulator Classic. 

REQUIREMENTS:

INSTALLATION:

Simply copy the Assets and Content folder to your railworks directory and overwrite all when asked. This patch does not change the route itself, rather the assets files and route templete files

Disclaimers:

  • A certain treeline did not have any matching AP variant and as such wasn’t changed. The occurances of this are generally low to the ground, however, so it shouldn’t  be too noitceable
  • The track shown in the image is not reflective of the original route, nor is the swap included in this patch. You will have to find another track patch for the route. I believe there are some on TS Community
  • I will not provide support for this patch

    I installed it and then ran the Buchan Odessy scenario. It launched in coomplete darkness for me

      Some possible reasons why this didn’t work/steps to take to ensure it’s installed properly:
      – It’s possible that the base weather of the Buchan Odessy scenario simply isn’t compatible with the AP Weather EP and would need to be changed to an appropriate Weather patten in the scenario editor

      – Try running a quick drive on the route, if the skies remain dark (and it’s not nighttime) then try the below step

      – In the route editor for Buchan, check whether the AP weather EP is enabled under the right hand menu showing all the providers and products. You should just be able to click AP, then scroll down in that list. If there is a tick then it is, if there isn’t then simply tick that
      OR
      – Re-paste the RouteProperties.xml file from the route folder provided in the patchs file structure into the route folder in your RailWorks directory, then re-install the Assets folder.

      Let me know what results these things produce so I can investigate further.

        Thanks mate. I did a quick drive and it was light but up above me in the sky ‘Missing Texture’. Buchan Odessy was still dark. So I went to the next step and enabled Veg and Sky in the route editor and its all good mate. Cheers.
