Backdated Trainsim Individual Preserved Class 47s Sound Patch
9th July 2021This is a patch for Backdated Trainsim’s individual preserved reskins of the Class 47 included with Dovetail Games’ Virgin Trains First Generation Loco Add-On to make them compatible with our previously released sound / physics patch for the original Class 47 available here: https://alanthomsonsim.com/downloads/virgin-trains-first-generation-class-47-sound-physics-patch/
This patch applies to:
– Locomotive Services Ltd. BR Large Logo Scottish Region 47593
– BR ScotRail Preserved 47712
– Freightliner / ROG BR Green 47830
– Locomotive Services Ltd. BR Blue 47853
This patch does NOT include the reskins themselves which will have to be downloaded from Backdated Trainsim’s site and installed first. You will also need to have installed the latest version (v1.2) of the original Virgin sound / physics patch first or you may have missing cab audio.

Sounds don’t work mate, unpacked .ap file too and still nothing
Sorry to hear that, I’ll try and figure out why. Should work with the .ap left packed or unpacked.
– Is it one of these skins in particular or all of them?
– Which option did you use?
– Have you installed the patch correctly? You need to copy the “Assets” folder from either Option 1-4 into “RailWorks”
– Do you have any sounds at all? If not, I would assume you haven’t got the most recent version (1.2) of the original patch for the Virgin liveries installed
Using Option 4 on 47593 i appear to have missing cab sounds. Light switches have no sounds, reverser, power handle, wipers etc all have no sounds. Engine sounds in the cab are audible. Appears to be just switches, power handle etc. I’ve installed the Virgin and WML 47 patches without any issues with sounds therefore i’m competent at the installation procedure. I’ve deleted the said reskin and tried to reinstall the skin and patch but have had no joy.
Hi David, sorry you’re having issues but I think I have identified the problem being the result of having updated the Virgin patch which was used as the base. I have sent you a PM on Facebook after seeing your post there and then I can send you the updated files you need. Should fix this issue.
