7B89 14:00 Port Talbot – Llanwern (1989)
20th October 2024Hello there, thank you for downloading this 100 minute scenario for the South Wales (un-branded) route.
This is a ‘Standard’ scenario and is called (WVC) 7B89 1400 Port Talbot – Llanwern (1989). To install the scenario, simply copy the ‘Content’ folder into the ‘Railworks’ folder.
Scenario summary
At the beginning of 1989 a new terminal was commissioned inside the Port talbot steelworks complex for the loading of imported coal for transport to Llanwern steelworks, the reason for this was because of decreasing local supplies and only Port Talbot had a deep water harbour to allow the large bulk carrying ships to berth. Today you take control of one of these heavy trains between Margam and its destination on a fine afternoon.

I hope you enjoy the scenario. Happy driving,

Cracking scenario pal. Crested Stormy Bank at 12.8 MPH. Awesome thrash.
Hi Geoff. Thanks very much, I’m glad you enjoyed it. 12mph is about what I’ve managed over Stormy, but these trains used to stagger up there anyway.
Thank you Wayne, a thoroughly enjoyable drive.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it and apologies again for the error that occurred.
No bother re downloading Wayne. It was so weird, as I kept installing the scenario, but obviously it wasn’t showing as 7B89. Eventually checking the scenario code in RWTools and seeing it showing as 7H18. Just pleased to let you know.
Yeah, I thought it was weird when I saw your message because I did enter the code for 7B89. However, when I went in looked at the zip folder, I realised I’d entered the information into a copy from 7H19 but didn’t remove the data. I’m guessing it was okay after the redownload then?
Oh, definitely. If there’s a problem with anything, don’t hesitate to leave a message.
Not re downloaded yet Wayne, but will let you know later. Thank you for all your help.
Wayne, this scenario is actually 7H19 1545 Penmaenmwar to Guide Bridge.
Hello, I do apologise. I have just checked the scenario codes in the ‘Build’ option and they are different, so I’m not sure what’s happened there. I’ll look into it.
Thanks for letting me know.
I’ve just had a look in the zip folder and I’d used a copy of a previous one but forgot to delete some files from it. Please accept my apologies.
I’ve re-entered the codes and I’m hoping that it’s fixed now.
No problem Wayne. Thank you, will download again.
Thank you for your patience. I know it must be frustrating having to download again. It was a silly error caused by me using a copy of a zip folder but forgetting to check it was empty.
