6S13 04:53 Bescot Yard to Ayr Falkland Sorting Sdgs (2000)
4th October 2025Hello! This is one scenario for DTG’s “West Coast Mainline Over Shap” route…
DESCRIPTION: You are at the controls of 6S13, the morning MGR empties heading north from Bescot towards Ayrshire. Today’s train is made up of around 30 empty hoppers, bound for re-loading at New Cumnock and Killoch collieries. This working is already unusual: rather than the typical EWS Class 60 or 66, control has diagrammed a Class 92 electric locomotive. These locos are normally confined to Channel Tunnel and intermodal duties, not heavy coal on the WCML, so it’s a rare sight to see one up here on an MGR. Year: 2000
TRACK COVERED: Preston to Carlisle

Excellent run, thanks for your work!
Thoroughly enjoyable scenario, Thank you.
What a fantastic run this was!. I had to do it two parts as I wasn’t to good to continue forward waiting at Tebay. Finished the remainder just now and I really enjoyed it. Nice to see something different between Tebay/Shap Summit. Of course the Cumbrian Fells produce some cracking photo opportunities.
