5S90 – The Westcountrymen Night Sleeper (Glasgow Central to Plymouth)

This Scenario takes you the whole 744 miles from Glasgow to Plymouth, driving a Class 47 InterCity Sleeper. For the ultimate experience, this is best driven using either Rail Driver or a TS Controls Controller.  This scenario is around 7 hours of driving and you will drive from Scotland, through NW England, the Midlands and the South West of England along the way. 

This Scenario is hard in places, so get ready for some tricky driving!

Part 1 – Glasgow to Preston (WCML Scotland and NW England) 

The First leg of your journey takes you from Glasgow to Preston, along the WCML, calling at: 

  • Motherwell
  • Preston 

Part 2 – Preston to Birmingham New Street 

The 2nd leg of your journey, takes you from Preston to Birmingham, calling at: 

Birmingham New Street 

Part 3 – Birmingham to Bristol (XC Birmingham to Bristol Extended Route) 

The 3rd leg of your journey, takes you from Birmingham to Bristol, calling at: 

Bristol Temple Meads 

Part 4 – Bristol to Plymouth (Just Trains Western Mainlines)

The final leg of your journey, takes you to Plymouth, calling at: 

  • Exeter St Davids 
  • Totnes 
  • Plymouth 

All together, you will drive 744 miles… Stop at 7 Stations… Drive through at least 30 Counties and be battered by thunder, lightning and rain!
