With about 1400 tonnes of container train on the drawbar, take 87101 from Rugby to Wembley on a September morning in 1992.

Recent changes in train planning rules have allowed some faster freight workings to squeeze in amongst the busy rush hour traffic, as the freight business is given more equitable access to the infrastructure.

Doesn’t mean it’s green lights all the way though. This one is all about energy management and patience.
