Set in 2005, this scenario sees you driving a Northern Spirit liveried Class 156 operating 2W29 from Newcastle and continuing the service to MetroCentre. You will then navigate Swalwell Junction before operating 2A64 back up to Morpeth, stopping at all stations enroute. Timings are accurate, so there may be some longer waits at some stations along the route (max 10 minutes) so feel free to use ASYNC keys to speed up time.

Note: In order to allow full Morpeth – MetroCentre services, I have had to create this scenario on the ECML Merge. That means this scenario is quite resource intensive. I recommend a minimum of 16GB of RAM for this scenario to run smoothly.

JT Voyager Advanced 2019

Those requirements marked with asterisks (*) are not essential requirements and the scenario will work as intended without them. However, they are strongly recommended if you want full realism.

About the author

I am predominantly an aviation enthusiast, but I also have a long-time interest in trains. I have been a player of Train Simulators since the mid-2000s, but recently my interests have turned towards content creation.     I’m keep getting an error with this scenario that it can’t build consist Class 91 GNER And JT Voyager ? Which both of them are in my game so I Really can’t work that out. I Have tried a reinstall of the items and the scenario but again failed. Does anybody else have this problem ?. I Know I Can just save the game and continue but it’s not going to be as realistic as it would be if they were all there. Is this a known issue or is it just me who is getting this problem ?.

    Thanks in advance. Looks like an amazing scenario always wanted to drive round my area of the NE In a old Northern Spirit Class 156

      Hi Peter, sorry to hear you are having difficulties playing this scenario. It’s not something that has been reported but I’ll try and help you the best I can. I don’t know if these will fix it, but it’s worth a go: If the AP 91 is installed correctly try and download JamesIvells Class 91/Mk4 Improvements Patch on ATS, and for the JT Voyager, make sure you have the JT Voyager Advanced 2019 and if that still doesn’t work, download the Leander Class 220/221 (JT) – Updated Consists patch also on ATS. If both of those fail, you can use TS Tools to swap out the stock to the 220/91 you have in your collection.

        So Sorry for the such late reply !! I Honestly forgot all about this but I Sure can say I Am pleased that this scenario worked kind of.

        Basically under requirements I Have no idea where to find the Class 156 Northern Destinations Patch I Think this is one area where up loaders could make the en users life easier by adding in the link to the website to download them from or even just the name of the site to find these items at 🙂

        I Do have every requirement installed too. But apart from that everything else worked like a dream that was one of the most enjoyable drives I Have ever done in TS !! Being my local area makes it even nicer ! I Was late at my own local station Cramlington but on time at every other station to the end being the Morpeth DMU Sideings..

        But you have made an amazing scenario here it’s a shame there is no more like this for the ECML Merge as it is so much better then the JT Newcastle to Edinburgh route which I Done a scenario from Newcastle to Morpeth on and then back to Newcastle yesterday but the state of the JP Route is appalling in places as is the FPS I Got a good 23 to 25 FPS The whole way on this hour and 8 minute drive ! I See that the AI Still drives though the bloody crossings on the JT Section opps. 😋

        I Would love to see you make more on this route from the old days and newer days on this section of the route. I Would love to see a nice sunny day with the class 142 or 156 again and or as recently seen the past couple years the class 158s But thank you for this scenario it is beyond anything I Dreamed it being !!!! 😁😁😁❤️
