9th January 2026Happy new timetable day! The East Midlands franchise has seen quite the change in recent years and today presents a huge shake up to services across the region. You’ll be sampling some of those changes in today’s brand new direct journey between Matlock and Cleethorpes. EMR cite an improved calling pattern as one of its host of benefits, but perhaps not so beneficial to the train crew. All stops to Derby, Spondon, Long Eaton, miss Attenborough, Beeston, Nottingham, non-stop Newark Castle, Collingham, miss Swinderby (this time), Hykeham and Lincoln…phew. It gets worse at the coastal end with Grimsby Docks and New Clee snatched from the Barton’s except for in the peak! Anyway…next stop fail to call…I mean Fiskerton?!

cahnt get past got to 13:06 and still stuck on red is there anything wrong with the scenario?
I’ve updated the scenario to hopefully eliminate any potential AI conflict at Ambergate Jn. The signal (DY577) should clear at 13:02.

I got stuck at signal DY577, before joining the mainline towards Belper.

That’s intentional. You should wait there until both a XC and EMR Intercity set pass heading south. Could you advise once those pass whether or not the route clears?

It’s not something I’ve been able to replicate unfortunately. All I can suggest is making sure that the JT MML routes are up-to-date, likewise with any of the AP stock.
