Hi, and thank you for downloading this 60 minute scenario for the fantastic Wherry Lines route. This is an update of a scenario that I originally released in 2019.

To install, simply copy the enclosed ‘Content’ folder to your Railworks folder. This is a ‘Standard’ scenario and is named “[MJC] 1Z42 0903 London King’s Cross – Lowestoft ‘A Farewell II Arms (Updated)”.

Summary

On Saturday 21st August, you are in charge of the Loadhaul-liveried pairing of 37513 and 37713, hauling the Norwich to Lowestoft leg of A1A Charters’ ‘A Farewell II Arms’ railtour, marking the impending end of class 31 operation by EWS. Year: 1999.

 

Once underway from Norwich you will be running non-stop to Lowestoft. You are in NRN area 020 for this run. Maximum speed is 80mph. There is a lengthy 15mph emergency speed restriction just after Reedham swing-bridge, where track has recently been relaid.

The tour arrived in Norwich behind the two class 31s at 1208. The class 31s will take fuel on Crown Point depot and later head to Lowestoft to haul the return leg to London Liverpool Street, via the Norwich avoiding curve. The leading 31 on the day was ‘Skinhead’ 31110, which had been repainted into BR Green livery specially for the occasion. Unfortunately this loco cannot be replicated in the simulator at this time, so it is assumed that 31427 substituted on the day.
