On Thursday 16th August 2018, the line between Leeds and Doncaster was closed after a tractor crashed
onto the line at Fitzwilliam. The EMT HST which normally worked the Hull – King’s Cross service was instead
used on the first Leeds departure vice a class 91, to allow the service to be diverted. It then formed the
0830 King’s Cross – Newcastle. You now have the set on the 1225 return from Newcastle to London, as far as
York.
