Along with several other services on Summer Saturdays, Virgin’s 1S48 from Bristol was extended to Edinburgh as an alternative with another train offering a connection at Carstairs should passengers wish to travel to Glasgow. During the week, this service runs as normal to Glasgow, arriving just before mid-afternoon. Today, you are in charge of this train with 86214 ‘Sans Pareil’ as far as Carlisle. Year: 2001
