The Saturday afternoon jaunt to Ramsgate has turned into anything but. There’s a broken rail at Longfield which has closed the route to country bound traffic and Thameslink are also having trouble due to theft of signalling cable at St Albans. Southeastern services are diverting via Dartford where possible, utilising the Sidcup and Woolwich lines but are subject to heavy delays. It looks like Network Rail are giving us the Woolwich line and the 14.42 Gillingham will take the Sidcup line…let’s see who comes up trumps.
