DESCRIPTION: It’s now the afternoon peak as you step into the cab to work 1N89, the 16:20 departure from London Blackfriars to Maidstone East. Blackfriars has only recently reopened following its major rebuild and, while the station is once again busy with through Thameslink traffic, Southeastern’s presence here is minimal. For them, Blackfriars now acts as a terminating and originating point, with only a token handful of services starting or finishing here each day during the busy periods. Year: 2012
