Summary
On a glorious Summer Saturday morning, you are driving this Wales & Borders ‘Alphaline’ service as far as Plymouth, beginning on the approach to Liskeard. Year: 2003
On a rolling start, you are approaching Liskeard. You will need to switch your desk in once the scenario starts. You are booked to call at all stations between Liskeard and Plymouth. A legacy of the Wales & West franchise, now split into Wales & Borders and Wessex Trains, this service is crewed by Wessex as far as Bristol. It divides at Bristol, the front unit continuing to Manchester via the Welsh Marches, and the rear continuing to Pembroke Dock. 158819 carries Ginsters advertising following a deal with W&B’s in-house catering department, whilst 158842 carries advertising for a South Wales newspaper.
