Summary:
It’s a fine Spring day and you are working this service to Paddington as far as Reading with unit 800004. There is a late-running service from the West Country due to pass. Once it has cleared you will be signalled into Bedwyn station to collect your first passengers. You will then call at Hungerford, Kintbury, Newbury, Thatcham, Theale, and Reading where you will be relieved. At Newbury you should switch from diesel to electric mode.
