Summary
A 45-minute scenario for the brilliant Peterborough to Cambridge route from Alan Thomson Sim.
Saturday 16th April 1988 saw 40122 (D200) work its final run for BR with this charter from Liverpool Street to York via Norwich. The loco was then handed over to the National Railway Museum, and the tour returned to London behind a class 47. Drive the short section between Ely and Peterborough. Year: 1988
Please note, although 40122 was dual-braked, in order to have the correct livery for D200 the loco is vacuum-braked only. All of the coaches on this train were dual-braked, so it is assumed that an issue with the air braking system on the day has forced the crew to switch over to vacuum.
