1C18 14:30 London Paddington to Weston-super-Mare10th November 2019
This scenario will take approximately 145 minutes to complete.
On a clear Autumns afternoon you will be taking charge of 1C18, the Great Western Railway 14:30 express service from London Paddington to Weston-super-Mare. Your traction for today will be an MTU engined Class 43 High Speed Train.
You will be calling at Reading, Didcot Parkway, Swindon, Chippenham, Bath Spa, Bristol Temple Meads, Nailsea & Blackwell, Yatton, and Worle along the way.
The tracks are typically busy, though you have generous timing allocations so there shouldn’t be too much need to rush!
Whilst testing I experienced a signal fault on approach to Bristol Temple Meads, if you encounter RED signal aspects on approach to there please press TAB to request permission to SPAD, and pass the signal only if that request is approved!
This run has been based on accurate train times verified against Realtime Trains.
Stock used as AI has been done on guesswork based on the Classes of units specified on Realtime Trains, all High Speed services are Class 43’s, some services which should have EMU’s have been substituted with DMU’s due to the route in TS not being electrified.

Hi mate you seem to have put all hst sets as green this isn’t realistic for as only two hst full sets were put into green please could you update this to have the FGW blue sets included thank you
Hiya. I’m currently stuck at signal SN249 just outside southall sat behind 1W12 which is sat half in and half out the platform. Now running 20 minutes late and still sat behind the red. Any help at all?
During testing the only signals I experienced was on approach to Bristol Temple Meads, if you are encountering a red aspect elsewhere there are a couple of possibilities. First possibility is just train sim displaying a false aspect, in which case try pressing TAB to request permission to pass the signal at danger. Second possibility is that one of the AI services has got stuck, an unfortunate frequent occurrence with train sim, if that is the case first try restarting the scenario from a fresh boot up of train sim, if that doesn’t work try reinstalling the scenario. Beyond that there’s not really anything I can suggest, unfortunately with train simulator it’s the nature of the beast that it behaves differently on pretty much every different computer it’s installed to and is prone to annoying bugs.
Thanks for your reply. I tried tabbing. Didn’t work. I’ll try restarting the scenario. It looks like the AI has got stuck. Sat with tail lights on both ends.
Thank you ou
I agree with Ralph, a most enjoyable drive. I loved every minute, Thank you.
thanks BENELENA for the positive feedback, glad you enjoyed it
This is a really great scenario…the amount of AI traffic really brings the route alive and the whole thing plays well right to the end. Pity about the ‘just trains judder’ on this route but not much can be done about that. Overall loved it!
Thanks for the feedback Ralph, glad you enjoyed it
