Operate Avanti West Coast service 1B38, the 11:47 departure from Birmingham New Street to London Euston.
This service calls at Birmingham International and Coventry before continuing non-stop to London Euston.
Severe disruption earlier today caused by overnight cable theft and signalling failures around the Rugby area has left the WCML heavily delayed, and services are still recovering. Your path is intact, but a smooth run is not guaranteed.

This scenario was made using the Signal EP, Sky and Weather EP, and Cloud EP by Armstrong Powerhouse. These are not essential but may result in odd weather patterns and signalling issues.
This scenario is incredibly resource-intensive. There is a possible OOM outside Birmingham New Street. I have found that while waiting at BNS, using the free roam camera and moving along the line as far as you can usually prevents this OOM. If the scenario fails to load entirely, loading a quick drive and then going back to this scenario works as well.
I’ve tried launch this scenario over 5 times, every time is crashed in operation loading with a “out of Memory” error, I’ve tried going into the build option and met the same fate. I ran a different scenario in build mode, loaded all the assets, ran the scenario again and crashed. What other options can I do?
Hi! This method has always worked for me, after launching Train Sim Classic:
1) Go into the Quick Drive menu
2) Select Birmingham New Street to London Euston (FAST) from the options on the left-hand side with the MJW 390 Pendo
3) Tick the box that says [Player consist Only]
4) Once loaded into the quick drive, press [8] to go into the free camera mode and have a fly over Birmingham to load in the assets
5) Quit the Quick Drive and launch the Scenario
That should now load and work fine
Can’t even access Birmingham station in quick driver, no matter what train I select, I’ve tried reinstalling the route both ATS Northampton Loop and DGT WCML south (aka Full) and still nothing. I can access Birmingham in other scenarios no problem and it loads all the assets but when I try to run this one it Crashes again in Both Build mode and in Scenario mode.
Ah, I’m afraid you might have to contact DTG for that; it sounds like a wider issue. Maybe one of the files is corrupted, so you could try deleting the route from your RailWorks folder and doing a fresh reinstall?
Many thanks. The TSRB/TGS/TRB/TS versions of the IC / ICS Mk3 coaches are not in the Mk3 A/B coach pack – could these have come from one of the HST packs? Or are these a repaint?
Thanks! Possibly, I’m not too sure to be honest, they are only used to imitate a West Coast Railway Company special train that ran on 09/03/26, and I have very limited steam and coach DLCs, so I thought I’d use a fun little mashup in its place.
