Hi, and thank you for downloading this 60 minute scenario for the unbranded South Wales Main Line route from Steam. This is a revamp of a scenario I originally released in 2019 and has been updated with newer rolling stock and transferred to the unbranded version of the route.

To install, simply copy the enclosed ‘Content’ folder to your Railworks folder. This is a ‘Standard’ scenario and is named “[MJC] 1B35 1245 Paddington – Swansea”

Summary

The writing is on the wall for the Paxman Valenta engine as the MTU days are on the horizon. However for now, the old guard is still very much in charge. With snow on the ground and more falling, you will need to employ defensive driving in order to avoid excessive wheelslip and get this train to Swansea safely. Year: 2006.

There are p-way staff out on the ground ensuring points at important junctions keep working and don’t get clogged-up with snow, so keep your eyes peeled for these hardy guys.

                – Class 60 advanced loco pack
