1A16 07:33 Birmingham New St – London Euston (2001)
10th August 2026Just before departure this service encountered a DVT TDM system failed at Birmingham New St, so the Class 86/2, 86256 Pebble Mill, was taken off the back and is now leading the train to Euston with a 2 minute delay to departure
This was the only ever regular non-stop service on the WCML from a Birmingham station to London in recent times, it no longer runs today. Scenario starts at Birmingham International as 1A16, the 07:44 to London Euston, see if you can make up time. We have a splendid rake of a Virgin red Class 86/2, DVT and Mk2’s, a beautiful sight in the autumnal conditions!

This scenario pushes TSC to the limits, but shows off what it can do

I too got scenario incomplete 1st time I ran it, so I looked at the timetable for the (P) train in the editor. The max speed for the Class 86 is 100mph, in the briefing for the scenario it says not to exceed 100 mph. The speed when entering 7 of the N’Sections in the scenario is 100mph. So if you’re doing say 99.6mph when passing the N’S warning board and put the tap changer in run down, when you pass the N’Section you’re speed is down to approx 95.5 mph. That’s why we’re getting a fail. In the scenario editor I clicked on the (hand) icon for each N’Section and changed them all from whatever speed shown to 1mph. Saved, ran scenario and it ran perfectly, even got a tick. Excellent scenario, thanks for sharing.

Very enjoyable, Thank you. No idea why I got a “Scenario incomplete”.
From my experience, if you end a scenario late and/or without completing any tasks the simulator shows the scenario as incomplete at the end.
