This scenario is for the West Coast Mainline Over Shap, and due to a fault on a Class 185 you are driving a pair of Class 170 Turbostars on the 10:10 First Transpennine Express service from Glasgow Central to Manchester Airport. As per the timetable you have just driven down from Glasgow non stop and at Carlisle you continue the service down to Preston. Your calling points are Penrith North Lakes, Oxenholme Lake District, Lancaster and Preston. At Preston, there will be a crew change for the final segment of the journey down to Manchester. Remember to turn the DRA off before you depart Carlisle.

Trains and timetables used in this scenario are based on the 2011 Summer timetables. You will need to be looking at the white speed signs on this route as this service is timed for 100 mph maximum.
