I have had Bristol Cardiff for a while and it comes under DTG/BristolCardiff .I have just paid for South Wales Coastal from DTG .Thing is I still have BristolCardiff then also in DTG folder SouthWales01 and SouthWales02 .South Wales01 seems to be a copy of BristolCardiff.Anybody have any idea why I have Bristol Cardiff twice .

Those licenses have expired and the standalone version of the route – as well as the Swansea extension – is removed from Steam. The version that you would have purchased recently was granted for free to all owners of the existing Swansea expansion as it literally remakes all existing content from the pair of DLC, but removes the licensed trains.
This can have issues. For instance, the 150/1 scenarios will not show up on the newer version and may not even work. They won’t even work on what you can get from Humble. Those three scenarios are literally locked unless you picked up the Cardiff-Swansea extension before it went away in April 2020. Scenarios created for that version of the line would need to be remade for the newer line to operate. I’m sure not all have been. The fact that DTG didn’t recreate the 150/1 scenarios shows how much they care about that issue.

18th June 2021 at 23:16 #2266605CycloneParticipantOn the contrary, I did answer your question. BristolCardiff and CardiffSwansea were installed on my system on April 9, 2020. SouthWales01 and SouthWales02 were installed November 27, 2020 when they came out for general purchase, automatically installed since I have the original version. As I already answered, BristolCardiff and CardiffSwansea both include licensed trains while SouthWales01 and 02 do NOT have licensed trains. That is literally the difference.
The Class 150/1 I mentioned is a separate DLC that IS for South Wales Coastal – see https://store.steampowered.com/app/448184/Train_Simulator_BR_Class_1501_DMU_AddOn/ and the scenarios designed for the original route and the link not working for that version.
