London Overground Wimbledon – West Croydon Route
28th July 2019The Wimbledon to West Croydon Line was a railway line in South London. The last train ran on 31 May 1997 and the line closed on 2 June 1997 for most of it to be converted into the Tramlink network.
This recreation in Train Simulator sees the route in a fictional modern London Overground era in the present day. It is a representation of what the route could be like today had it not been converted into the TramLink. The route covers just over six miles with seven stations, two termini and five intermediate stations.
The route requires a small selection of Payware and Freeware to run as intended. It also includes two Quick Drives and five Standard Scenarios.

There are several known errors within the route. For example, at Merton Park Platform 1 the train doors WILL NOT open. Myself and others have tried to fix this but have been unable to. Any help is appreciated. Some people have also reported having problems with signals but that hasn’t affected me.
Hi, I think the route is great, however the platform at mordon road is not there and the doors will not open either, and it says that i dont have the 378 capitalstar, even though i do, any suggestion please
Hello Matthew. Doors not opening is a known issue and one that myself and others have been unable to fix; we’ve tried servers different ideas to no avail. I presume you’re travelling towards West Croydon, if so, I believe the doors do open there but on the wrong side. The Class 378 used is from the North London Line route, not the standalone version. That may be why. Hope this helps.

i have the stand alone 378 and the north london line and goblins DLC’s all in my libary. yet a 378/1 can not be found
Hi, can you have a look at the scenario in RW_Tools / TS_Tools and see if you can see where it says my scenario is getting the 378 from, and then compare it to your folder structure to your 378? You may need to extract some AP files.
Hi, I have TS_Tools, i don’t know how to extract AP files, but somehow i managed to swap in the 378/1 in to all the scenarios and it worked, I’m going to check the rest of stock to make sure. i would like to how to extract AP files in case i need to. also most of platforms are missing though.
You can extract AP files in TS_Tools or by going to your RailWorks folder and extracting them with 7-Zip or WinRAR. Missing platforms is a known issue which I haven’t been able to recreate, hence why there is no fix.

HI IAM HAVING THE SAME PROPS AS ALPAL101 AND ITS A SHAME THAT A MONTH LATER AND THE PROBLEM AS NOT BEEN FIXED. I ALSO CAN’T DO THE London Overground Class 378 ‘Capitalstar’ EMU SCENARIOS AS IT SAYS IAM MISSING THE CLASS 378. AND YES I HAVE ALL THE REQUIREMENTS AND SETTINGS INSTALLED AND SET (BTW NICE ROTEMASTER BUS VERY DETAILED NOT SEEN THAT IN TRAIN SIM B4)
Hi, sorry for the late response. I am afraid I have been unable to rectify the platform issues as I don’t know what is causing the issue because I am not having the same issue. I have a suspicion thought that it may be the AP Track EP causing the issue – which is weird. As for the scenario, it uses the 378 from the NLL. If you are still having issues, maybe try swapping the 378 in the scenario for the 378 on your computer using RW Tools. Sorry that I cannot be of much assistance :/

This is very odd, and I’m not sure what is causing this issue. Just to check, when you looked in the editor, you looked for the PDL Waterloo version not the shorter original version. Other than that, there isn’t really anything else I can suggest, apart from maybe make a post on the ATS Facebook group to see if anyone else has had this issue in the past, or any other TS20xx group for that matter.

I have installed the route having all the requirements installed and platforms aren’t visible between Wimbledon and West Croydon, i’d appreciate some assistance to rectify this.
Hi, sorry to hear that you are having some issues. The platforms used are from the: Portsmouth Direct Line: London Waterloo – Portsmouth by DTG – https://store.steampowered.com/app/820203/Train_Simulator_Portsmouth_Direct_Line_London_Waterloo__Portsmouth_Route_AddOn/. Please ensure this route is properly downloaded and your scenery density slider is as high as it can be.
If the problem still persists, try looking at the route in the route editor and see if the platforms appear. Also check if said requirement is checked; see this video from 18:51 if you need help with that – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TU5rXN-jm_4&t=1131s. The PDL is under DTG at the top, not RSC.

Hey again. I have double checked and my settings are already at the highest they can be. I also should note that the platforms aren’t appearing in the editor, in the DTG tab section the PDL was unchecked and I selected it and used the F9 or F10 function to reload any assets and also exited and saved the changed and the platforms won’t appear.
