1Y44 10:10 Mallaig To Fort William

1Y44 10:10 Mallaig To Fort William

14th April 2019 1 By BiteSizeScenarios

This scenario will take approximately 98 minutes (1hr 38m) to complete.

On a clear summers morning sometime in the late 80’s you are taking control of 1Y44, a Class 37 hauled passenger run from Mallaig to Fort William.
You will depart Mallaig at 10:10 and will be calling at all stations to Fort William.
It’s expected that you will be running slightly late when you arrive at Fort William as you are scheduled to depart there at 11:41 to head towards Glasgow Queen Street.
Your goal will be to carry out the journey as efficiently as possible (without speeding!) so you are not left having to make up too much time on the next leg of the journey.
With constantly changing speed limits and gradients your work will be cut out for you, and you will have to do a runaround your coaches when you arrive at Fort William.

This run has been based on accurate train times from the Scotrail timetable (9 Dec 2018 – 18 May 2019) and verified against Realtime Trains, realistically you will most likely be around 4 minutes late when you reach Fort William as this current timetable used is based on a DMU running on it.

To play this scenario you will need the following:
