Summary
A semi-fictional scenario for the Riviera Line route. All services in this scenario are taken from the Summer 1999 working timetable. The use of 37424 and 4 coaches in place of the booked 3 class 153 units is fictional. The assumption is that in order to provide additional capacity during the six weeks of the Summer holidays, Wales and West were using this rake of coaches and class 37 hired-in from their sister company Cardiff Railway Company. The stock was not employed at weekends at the time, being used for weekday commuter services on the Rhymney Valley line. Year : 1999.

Scenario run-through
This scenario should last around 60 minutes. This rake of coaches, on hire to Cardiff Railway Company from Forward Trust Rail, is booked to stand at Canton depot over the weekend in between weekday use on commuter services on the Rhymney Valley line. In this scenario, it is assumed that fellow-Prism Rail company Wales & West have hired the set for six weeks in the Summer Holidays to work an out-and-back working from Cardiff to Paignton, releasing 3 class 153 units to strengthen services in west Wales. You begin in Goodrington Sidings prior to picking up at Paignton. You then run through to Exeter St.David’s calling at all stations.
