DESCRIPTION:
Hertfordshire Rail Tours run a seasonal out and back from London to Chesterfield named under “The Twisted Spire”. Departing from London at just after 8AM as 1N50 under electric power, the tour travels North up to Decoy Junction at Doncaster where a pair of 66s take the train forward to Chesterfield. The train then returns later as 1A51 with the 66s in charge as far as Retford before the 86 takes over again for the final leg to London. Since powering South, you join the train at Peterborough, and you oversee the final leg. Year: 2000
